My First Knitting Book

I knit, in fact I learned to knit about 45 years ago while I was in grade school.  But I stopped knitting for about 30 years and only picked it up again when it seemed like everyone around me was knitting socks. I really love all the new tools, patterns, and techniques and the yarn choices are incredible.

Anyway, why is someone who knows how to knit reading a beginning knitting book?   I am always being asked to teach people to knit and, while it is easy to teach the basics in an hour or so, once they go home they need a book to help them.

My First Knitting Book could definitely be that book.  It's not too big to carry around and it has everything the new knitter needs to know.  The pictures are clear, as are the accompanying instructions.  Not only that, but Hildegarde Deuzo, the author, has included some easy projects.

My favorite project is the egg hats and scarves.  While I freely admit I'm not planning making hats for eggs, those hats would be adorable on my great nieces Barbie dolls.

I received this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
